Sydney’s ‘How to’ manual for iPads

For the iPad there are a lot of dos and don’ts. Some things you may want to do with the iPad at school to be a good student would be to:

Do your work. Take notes. Make sure it stays safe and not lost*. Keep things organized and neat. Follow the code for your school and at home if you can take it home.

Those are only a few thing you could do to have the privilege to use an iPad at school. Some things you should NOT do in school with your iPad are:

Throw your iPad on the ground or against anything. Leave your iPad on a sidewalk, bench, etc. Let someone you do not trust to use your iPad to use your iPad. Surf the web when it is not appropriate. Break the acceptable use policy for your iPad by posting, and sharing private information.** Click on something you think might be inappropriate. Put your iPad in the dishwasher.

Again those are only a few things that you should not do with your iPad. Also you should not follow the above information about washing the iPad in a dishwasher. In reality you should never put an iPad in a dishwasher. This article is sarcastic but funny.

*To make sure your iPad does not get lost or damaged:

Put a cover on it, it will keep the iPad from getting scratched up. Keep your iPad with you at all times or keep it under lock and key the prevent theft.

Those are only some ways to help keep your iPad safe.

**Never post information such as your last name, email, or home address on the Internet. It could result in you being stalked or worse. Also never take a picture or post a picture of someone without their permission.

How to use an iPad

There are many ways to use an iPad. Some are good, but some can be bad.

You want to make sure that if you put up a personal page or profile, that you don’t give away too much information about yourself because people can track you or be able to use your information. You also don’t want to put up too many pictures of yourself because people can use that picture and change it in ways you might not like. Look what they do to the poor celebrities in magazines!
Make sure your don’t abuse you’re iPad, because even though they are strong, they can be broken. Also, iPads are expensive enough that you don’t want to get another if you break it.
