My Roller Coaster by Ellen C.

Hello everyone, and thank you for reading the theme park news section! For this month’s Best Coaster Contest, or BCC, our winner is a steel structure called the “Sea Level.” If you have a thirst for thrilling adventure while still not getting terribly sick, then this is the ride for you. It is a pipeline roller coaster with 85 degree drops and 4 inversions. This ride is located in a huge underground room that can be accessed by a slide going into the base of Mount Yale in the Rockies. It seems that the coaster ride stretches a mile long, all inside the mountain! I know, you may never have heard of the place, or that Mount Yale is apparently hollow, but neither had the rest of the world until a few days ago. It was discovered by a seven year old girl named Abigail, or Abby, and her mother, Jessica. They are natives to the Rocky Mountains region and very much enjoy visiting Mount Yale. Abby loves to explore, eat ice cream, and get caught in a summer rainstorm. But none of her exploring skills could prepare her for finding the winner of our contest this week! She and her mother stumbled apon the mile-long roller coaster when they decided to check out the side where no one else hikes because there are no trails. Abby tripped on a rock and tumbled down the slide, only to discover a 75 mph roller coaster that was soon to be the winer of this month’s BCC! The BCC team is still trying to figure out the mystery of our winning coaster, and we hope to have more info next week. Keep reading the theme park news section to learn more! Below is a diagram of “The Sea Level.”
