I really liked the apartment painted by Matisse. Matisse was rejected and called a monster by the critics, but his paintings where bought by the Cone sisters. Matisse also liked to use his daughter in a lot of his paintings. He liked to put abstract with realistic like in the painting of the apartment. The bird was a bird but you could not find any realistic features like the beak. I think Matisse brings realistic and imagination together and turns it into a new art style.
