When Your Teen Is “Interested” In an Absolute Jerk

Follow these simple steps to convince your teen to see your point of view.

1. Look and listen around your teen to see when he/she starts to like someone.

2. Judge that person to see if it is worth sneaking out of home just to see him/her.

3. Make your own conclusions and decide if you want your teen to be hanging around with this person.

4. If you decide that your teen is not worthy of even being near this person, make it clear to your teen that you don’t want him/her to see their “friend. ” Make sure not to forbid your teen from seeing that person because it will only make your teen want to go and see the person more and more.

5. If your teen still doesn’t listen to you start taking away your privileges and make it socially awkward for your teen to keep on visiting his/her friend.
