NASA, a Year in Review Interesting Facts by Sarah F.

On NASA’s website they have a year in review of all their news from 2012 and have found a lot of it very interesting. These are some of the news I found interesting.

  • In July 2012 the Orion spacecraft was first welcomed into NASA’s home. This rocket is reaching a major milestone in spacecraft history because it is the most advanced rocket to ever be made and will take astronauts further into space than ever before.
  • On November 2, 2012 NASA and other partners celebrated 12 years of austraunants permanently living in space for 12 years in the space station.
  • NASA supported experts discovered that the icebergs in Greenland and Antarctica are melting more than twice as much every year than they did in the 1990s.
  • Aeronautics are studying to create a silent sonic boom that could open a new segment for the economy for commercial aviation by making sonic booms okay.
