NASA in 2012

In the year of 2012, NASA has done many incredible things. Here are the things I found most interesting

  1. In September 2012, NASA has continued studying sound waves created by supersonic aircraft. They are trying to find a way to create sonic booms that you can barely hear or not hear from the ground.
  2. In December 2012, the shuttles in the Space Shuttle Program arrived in New York to be displayed in a museum.
  3. In February, NASA landed a their most high tech rover next to a mountain on Mars. The rover was about the size of a car. The one ton rover was named Curiosity.
  4. On August twentyfith, the first man in space, Neil Armstrong died at the age of 82.
  5. NASA celebrated 12 years of permanent human habitation on the International Space Station on Nevember 2. More than 1,500 development experiments have been conducted in the orbiting lab.
