Nasher Museum of Art

The Nasher Museum of Art was very interesting. My favorite exhibit was probably the Cone sisters exhibit. There are many interesting facts about the Cone sisters including that Clarabel Cone became a M.D in her younger life. To create there amazing collection they met with Pablo Picasso and Henry Matisse. To receive this wonderful art they had to make an annual trip to Europe! The sisters collected 42 oil paintings, 18 sculptures, 36 drawings, 155 prints from Henry Matisse. The sisters actually chose their collection to go to the BMA (Baltimore Museum of Art) to show their appreciation for modern day Baltimore. The sisters never got married but were proposed to by several men. The estimated value of this exhibit is one billion dollars! The Cone sisters are buried in Hickory Knoll, Maryland. I really enjoyed this exhibit and hope to see it again!
