My Ending to the Lady and Tiger By: Aneesha

Lady and Tiger is about a semi barbaric king who has a daughter who is secretly dating a man. The king throws the man into this place where he picks his faith of getting married or instantly dying. This the my version of the end of story…

It felt like endless footsteps away from the right door, the arena so quiet that you could hear pin drop. The princess, who bit her finger nails to no end, hoped that she made the right decision. She took a huge drink of water before turning her semi barbaric body back to her old love who was only a foot away from her decision. The man, confident that his love would never give him death walked toward the door on the right. Among the audience, half hoped for him with his charming smile to take the other lady in his arms, the other half of the crowd hoped to see the man who betrayed the king to have sudden death. He took one more look at the his love, as he turned to the door. She looked away hoping that she made the right decision. An inch away from the right door, a centimeter, and finally his hand touched the lock hatch and slowly and carefully started the so very slightest pull of just a centimeter at a time. The audience gasped. Some who were forced to come, looked away in disgust. The barbaric ones, like the king, looked so very closely at the door and acted like it was the best movie ever and that the best part was coming up. Behind one door, the tiger was hungrily licking and hoped to jump out. Behind the other door stood the lady who smiled her best smile ever and stared at the door. Her heart ached for the man to come up and open the door. The right door budged just another centimeter and a sliver of space appeared. The tiger growled like it hadn’t eaten in years and was waiting to get his paws on anything. The man, afraid that the tiger was behind the doors slammed it shut. Another growl occurred, from an unknown door, and the man regained his confidence He started back toward the door, slowly and carefully. He placed his hand on the right door again as his face turned abreish. His confidence went from 300 to 0. Suddenly, he put more pressure on the door and yanked it open. He couldn’t believe his eyes. It was the lady, standing with a smile, and she stared at his handsome face. The man took one look at the princess, and his eyes said, “Thank you for saving me.” The princess looked away suddenly, focusing on the ceiling’s design. She could never face him gain Her jealously overcame her and so did her semi barbaric personality. For the rest of the years, the man lived nearby and tried to tell the princess that even though he was married to another, that he still loved her and to have faith.
