“December 14th, 2012 a day that will go down in infamy.”- Wesley C.,

December 15th, 2012. The day after Sandy Hook.

As we all know last Friday, twenty students and six teachers all lost their lives on Friday. I think that all of our hopes and prayers should go to this small community as we approach the end of Hanukkah and the beginning of the days of Christmas. I believe that this tragedy is outrageous. We know that the man who killed all these students was mentally ill. But that is one theory why he killed so many people. A theory I have to stop all of these tragedies is to ban guns. Did you know that the man who killed all the students obtained these military weapons legally? That is outrageous. Why should regular everyday citizens obtain a weapon used to fight extremists during times of war? Why should they? Well the answer to that is because we do have “The right to bear arms.” That is really dumb because in the average day, what is the chance of being attacked by a crazy person in a single day. 1 in 7,000,000 people are going to go crazy and kill you. But a solution to this is banning guns in America. This way we can reduce the amount of suicides and homocides per year. In conclusion I believe that guns should be banned from America.
