The Hunger Games was a great book about 16 year old Katniss Everdeen and how her sacrifice put her in a life or death situation. There are twelve districts that make up Panem. Katniss lives in district twelve along with Peeta the boy tribute in district twelve. Once they get to Panem it is wonderful with great food and a great atmosphere. But all 24 tributes know what’s coming next. Once they get into the games it is a blood bath in the book like 8 people die in the first day. Along in the games Katniss gets a Allie named Rue. In the games one by one people are getting killed. Eventually Rue gets killed by one of the people In the big group including Cato, Clove, Marvel, and Glimmer in the games Peeta joins them but he gets let go. He is cut in the leg badly. Once Katniss finds him and helps him get better. At the end of the game the game makers release mutant dogs which are the fallen tributes. In the End Peeta and Katniss end up being the winners of the 74th Hunger Games.
