Talk to Your Teen By Madison K.

In the book Cosmic, Liam reads a book titled, How to Talk to Your Teen. I am adding a chapter to his book. Communication is the number one way to keeping your teenager happy (and healthy maybe). Talking to your teen will open doors for both of you (that may not be how teens really feels though.) When talking, remember that  teen girls are moody and everyone is allowed to be moody at one time or another. Develop a routine where you check in with your daughter daily (this may not work with some teens). Know when your daughter is in the best mood and talk to her at those times not any other. Use all forms of communication. Teen girls like to be chatty by texting or using a social network. Learn to use these types of communication so you can keep connected with your daughter. Give her the words she needs to use with you when she really needs to talk about something important or she needs to get you to back off when she doesn’t feel like talking (which can happen very often). Respect her wishes when she uses those words by being prepared to listen or backing off if that is what she wants. Mostly importantly, don’t judge her. Teens also have their own opinions. This helps builds a strong relationship with your teen (warning some teens will be to0 feisty for this approach).
