In class we are reading the book Cosmic. We doing some space related activities. One is writing about the NASA site and some things that are going on in space. Here are five things that I find very interesting.

• One fact is in 2012 we lost the first man and the first woman that walked on the moon.
• We have landed the rover on mars called curiosity. This rover is sending back pictures and soil samples.
• In the North Pole and South Pole we are loosing more and more ice. The sheets that were once there are now disappearing. We have lost three times as much ice as in the 1990’s
• On December 12, 2012 astronomers have uncovered previously unseen seven primitive galaxys that have formed more that 13 billion years ago.
• NASAS space craft messenger has found ice on mercury. Data shows that if the ice spreads to the size of Washington, D.C. The ice will be 2 miles thick.

These are some facts that I found really interesting.
