Nasher Museum

At our recent school trip to the Nasher Art Museum inside the Duke University campus there was one artist who caught my eye, Vincent van Gogh. Vincent Willem van Gogh was born March 30, 1853 in Zubert, Netherlands. Vincent loved to draw as a kid and when he was a young man he worked for various and many dealers. Incredibly Vincent only started to painting his early twenties. Later he became part of the French Impressionists movement. The van Gogh painting we saw at the Nasher was a painting of a farm house and a forest. Many people think that van Gogh’s best paintings were in the last two years of his life. His most famous works include Starry Night, Potato Pealers and Irises.
